Flowering in most areas in the shade of the undergrowth of course tends to lag behind the sunniest areas: without sufficient light and heat is very hard to make a flower bloom!
As always there are exceptions: in fact we can find right in the undergrowth in March or even by the end of February, the beautiful primrose (Primula vulgaris).
The primrose is a perennial plant, and each year a store in the root stock of reserve materials for high energy value. It is this root / warehouse, called rhizomes, allowing the primrose to bloom so early.
The name 'Scarlet' means exactly this early. An old name of this flower, just as beautiful, was' spring 'or' plant Spring ', probably meaning this flower as a herald of warm weather is coming.

This small plant of the primrose we collected in Slovenia a few weeks ago. Normally never worn away the flowers from their habitat, not only in this way whilst keeping intact the ecology (remember that every organization, even a small map, interact in complex ways with many other species), but a flower is much better if observed in nature that has given birth.
